Alana Bond

Program & Outreach Director

Alana moved to Colorado in 2005 to attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Here she earned a bachelor’s degree in Math education and fell in love with the mountain landscape. Alana spent the next 15 years zigzagging through Colorado – hiking, biking, boating, snowboarding, and working as either a public school teacher or outdoor educator. Alana is passionate about connecting youth with the outdoors and protecting our public lands and was thrilled to start working for DRBA in 2020. Born and raised on the island of Hawaii, Alana carries with her a strong connection to Hawaiian culture, love of the ocean, and stewardship of the land. In her spare time, Alana enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her friends, husband Alex, and dogs Kona and Gila.
